Child actress Sophie Nyweide dead at 24, police investigating ‘untimely death’

The Bennington Police Department in Vermont responded to a report of an unresponsive female along the Roaring Branch River on April 14. Despite efforts to revive her, Nyweide was declared dead at 5 a.m. An investigation into her death has been launched by the authorities.

Nyweide, who was found next to the river, was pregnant at the time of her death, as stated on her death certificate. Her mother, Shelly Gibson, a former actress, mourned her daughter’s passing on social media, describing her as a bright light.
