In North Bethesda, MD, on May 17, 2025, Charles E. Smith Life Communities (CESLC), a respected nonprofit elder care organization, revealed Kenneth H. Becker as the new chair of the Board of Governors during its 2025 Annual Meeting on May 14, 2025. Becker, who has been involved with CESLC since 2015, has held various roles within the organization and brings over 50 years of experience in real estate to his new position. CESLC’s President and CEO, Bruce J. Lederman, expressed enthusiasm about Becker’s appointment and highlighted his leadership qualities. Alongside Becker, new governors Marsha J. Seidelman, M.D., and David Florin were welcomed for their expertise and dedication to CESLC’s mission. The meeting also saw the appointment of other key officers and board members, with Natalie S. West being named chair of CESLC SeniorCare Ventures, LLC, among others. During the event, Eric Meyers was honored with the Hymen Goldman Humanitarian Award for his service and support to CESLC, particularly during the pandemic. Meyers accepted the award graciously, acknowledging the collective effort in making CESLC a better place for both residents and staff.
