Caterpillar considers its next-generation medium-sized wheel loaders to be adaptable for owners to integrate technology as their needs evolve. These loaders now offer advanced features including remote control, collision warning, 360-degree camera vision, and Advanced Payload tracking. Various technologies are also available to enhance operator efficiency and reduce fatigue levels, catering to operators of all skill levels.

The new tech options are compatible with 10 upcoming models, ranging from the 950 to the 982. These models, including the premium XE versions, prioritize operator safety, comfort, machine durability, and come equipped with standard features.

Additionally, the loaders can be fitted with Cat’s new Single Life Cutting Edges for buckets, which eliminate the need to monitor wear for flipping edges.

New technology options for the next-gen medium wheel loaders include a Collision Warning System with Motion Inhibit, Command for Loading, Advanced Payload, Multi-view (360°) Vision System, and more.

Caterpillar has integrated additional technology into the next-generation loaders to enhance efficiency and productivity for operators of all levels, reducing fatigue. The company highlights various new features like Auto Set Tires, Autodig, Programable Kickouts, and Machine Speed Limit.

Moreover, Cat’s new Single Life Cutting Edges for medium wheel loaders are made of DH-2 through-hardened steel and are thicker than standard cutting edges. These edges are designed to handle high-impact operations and abrasive materials, reducing operating and maintenance costs by up to 40% and providing 45% more value than standard cutting edges. They can be retrofitted to both Cat and aftermarket buckets with the same hole layout.
