According to The Miami Herald, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has instructed state law enforcement officials to halt the enforcement of a new immigration law after a federal judge in Miami expressed surprise that arrests were still being made despite her previous order. During a court hearing in Miami, it was revealed that about 15 arrests had been conducted by Florida officers in the last two weeks, going against a directive issued by U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams on April 4. One of the individuals apprehended was a U.S. citizen born in Georgia.
