Actor Michael Pitt was taken into custody for charges related to sexual abuse. Authorities allege that he sexually assaulted his then-girlfriend and later attacked her with various blunt objects. The accusations stem from four domestic incidents that reportedly occurred between April 2020 and August 2021.
The incidents are said to have taken place at Pitt’s residence in Bushwick, where he allegedly fondled his ex on one occasion and later sexually assaulted and struck her with a wooden plank. Additionally, it is claimed that he attacked the victim with a cinderblock at another time.
Pitt was apprehended on charges including assault with a weapon, sexual motivation, strangulation, sexual abuse, and forcible compulsion. He pleaded not guilty to all allegations, posted bail of $100K, and was released from custody. Pitt is known for his role as Jimmy Darmody in “Boardwalk Empire.”
In addition to his appearance in “Boardwalk Empire,” Pitt has been featured in shows and movies such as “Hannibal,” “Hugo,” “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” “Dawson’s Creek,” and “Seven Psychopaths.” His attorney, Jason Goldman, has refuted the claims, stating that the accusations were made years after the alleged incidents and during a consensual relationship.
