Berkshire meeting ‘bazaar’ features Buffett Squishmallows, 60th anniversary book and giant claw machine

The annual Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting in Omaha, Nebraska is now offering more interactive experiences for attendees. The event began with a shareholder-exclusive shopping event called the “Berkshire Bazaar of Bargains” at the CHI Health Center, showcasing products from various Berkshire holdings. The meeting will feature Warren Buffett addressing investor concerns, along with Greg Abel and Ajit Jain. Plush Squishmallows modeled after Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger were the top-selling items at the event, with a new limited-edition dog character named “Omaha” introduced this year. The Squishmallows brand was acquired through Berkshire’s acquisition of Alleghany and has been a popular choice, selling millions of units. Additionally, a special 60th Anniversary book is on sale, with proceeds benefiting charity. Attendees can also purchase themed chocolates from See’s Candies and enjoy treats from Dairy Queen. Brooks Running is offering special edition shoes, and attendees can participate in a 5K fun run. Other attractions at the event include a claw machine game and a NetJets private plane display. AIT Worldwide Logistics is providing a service to help attendees ship their purchases home. Jewelry items are also available for purchase at a separate shopping event at Borsheims.
