It has been more than three years since Chris Cuomo was fired from CNN, but tensions still linger at the network over his departure and the exit of his former boss, Jeff Zucker. Cuomo stirred up the CNN feud on a recent episode of Patrick Bet-David’s podcast by criticizing his former colleague, Don Lemon, for not supporting him when he was let go. Sources revealed that Cuomo was the one who allegedly betrayed Zucker and his girlfriend, Allison Gollust, during a scandal at the time, despite Zucker’s support and protection of him. Some believe Cuomo was the one who exposed Zucker and Gollust’s relationship, even though it was already widely known.

Cuomo has denied these accusations, calling them “absurd.” He is currently embroiled in a $125 million legal battle with CNN. The scandal involving Zucker and Gollust led to Zucker’s resignation from CNN and Gollust stepping down as Chief Marketing Officer. Some CNN employees still harbor ill feelings towards Cuomo, accusing him of trying to harm the network by taking legal action after his dismissal.

One media insider mentioned that Cuomo was not well-liked at CNN, and his actions were seen as vindictive towards Zucker and Gollust. Another source stated that no one at CNN is in contact with Cuomo after he tried to damage their credibility and reputation. Cuomo’s friendship with Lemon also suffered due to the situation.

Cuomo dismissed the accusations as false and stated that he still has friends at CNN. He challenged Zucker and Lemon to have an honest conversation with him. Zucker and Lemon did not respond to Cuomo’s remarks. Despite previously presenting a close bond on their joint podcast, “The Handoff,” Cuomo revealed that it was mainly Zucker’s idea, reflecting concerns about Lemon’s show opening. In 2022, Zucker admitted to a consensual relationship with a colleague spanning over 20 years, leading to his resignation.
