A 15-year-old girl from Pennsylvania who had been missing for three months was discovered safe in Georgia on Monday. Enci “Aubrey” Wu was located in Jasper, Georgia, after locals recognized her and alerted authorities. Northampton County District Attorney Stephen Baratta mentioned that social service agencies are looking into Wu’s family to determine if she will be returning home, as reported by Lehigh Valley Live.

Baratta revealed that there have been several allegations regarding potential criminal behavior and concerning actions related to Wu’s family. He mentioned that there were discussions on social media about human trafficking, as well as concerns about past and current relationships involving Enci. However, he clarified that all allegations are currently being investigated, and there are no comments on their status.

Wu went missing from Palmer County, Pennsylvania, on January 10, 2025, reportedly due to parental restrictions that might have prompted her to run away. Baratta implied that these restrictions could have been excessive, leading to the involvement of social services. He emphasized that Enci deserves privacy during this time.

Authorities have not disclosed details on how Wu traveled to Georgia, who she stayed with, or her activities during her time there. Baratta also mentioned that Wu altered her appearance, including lightening her hair, as per WFMZ reports. Despite being missing, Wu apparently continued to use social media, aiding investigators in tracking her down.

No charges have been filed, but the investigation remains ongoing, according to Baratta.
