At least 3 dead, 5 others injured in shooting at restaurant in surburban Phoenix: police

Three individuals have lost their lives and five others have been wounded following a shooting at a restaurant in a Phoenix suburb on Sunday night, as per the police in Glendale, Arizona. The incident happened at El Camaron Gigante Mariscos & Steakhouse, with reports of shots being made around 7:45 p.m. Officer Moroni Mendez from the Glendale Police Department stated that three people died from their injuries, while five others sustained injuries from gunshots or shrapnel.

During a briefing, Mendez highlighted the need for people with information to come forward for a thorough investigation, emphasizing the need to do right by the victims. It is suspected that more than one shooter was involved, and while there is no suspect in custody, multiple individuals are being questioned, Mendez confirmed.

One witness, Lupe Rodriguez, shared his experience of running to safety during the incident and expressed his gratitude for surviving. Rodriguez described the scene as distressing, mentioning seeing a man on the ground and hearing his father calling out his name, indicating the severity of the situation.
