Arkansas appeals Trump administration denial of federal aid for tornado recovery

Arkansas is challenging the Trump administration’s rejection of federal assistance for the state’s reconstruction following a series of deadly tornado storms. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-Ark.) sought aid for individuals affected by the mid-March tornadoes, among the most severe in the state since 1997.
