Almaden to build PV glass manufacturing facility in UAE with annual production capacity of 500,000 tons

Almaden, a Chinese PV glass manufacturer, has revealed plans to establish a new subsidiary, Almaden Glass Industry Co., Ltd., in the United Arab Emirates with a planned investment of US$240 million. The subsidiary will run a PV glass production line with an annual output of 500,000 tons and supporting production facilities. This move aligns with Almaden’s global expansion strategy to cater to markets in the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, and South Asia. Despite facing challenges in the PV industry and a net loss in their recent annual report, Almaden remains focused on core operations and international market growth. Other Chinese PV companies have also invested in the Middle East, covering various segments of the PV industry chain.
