The news was shared in a letter signed by his children Álvaro, Gonzalo, and Morgana, and posted by Álvaro. The family announced that his remains will be cremated with no public ceremony. They expressed that while his death will be mourned by loved ones and readers worldwide, they take solace in the fact that he had a fulfilling life and left behind a lasting legacy through his literary works. Vargas Llosa, known for novels like “The Time of the Hero” and “Feast of the Goat,” was a prolific writer who received numerous awards, including the Nobel Prize in 2010 after being a long-time candidate.
