In Cary, NC on April 15, 2025, NACCE revealed the introduction of a new AI Assistant named “Jeremy” to its career exploration tool, SkillPointe. Developed by CrazyThink specifically for NACCE, Jeremy is aimed at enhancing user engagement by offering detailed information across SkillPointe’s 79 skills-based career categories featured on its platform.
NACCE’s President and CEO, Rebecca Corbin, Ed.D., stated that the addition of Jeremy marks a significant improvement for SkillPointe users. She mentioned, “The new AI Assistant allows us to provide more personalized, real-time support to individuals utilizing SkillPointe to explore skills-based careers for free, leading to increased user engagement and success.”
Jeremy himself introduced, “Hello, I’m Jeremy, an AI Assistant part of the SkillPointe.com team. I’m here to assist users in exploring and pursuing skills-based careers that interest you, offering personalized information on any of our nearly 80 listed skills-based career paths – from training programs and educational financial resources to starting your own skills-based business. Jeremy is now live and accessible to all users on the SkillPointe.com platform. His presence on the platform contributes to advancing NACCE’s mission of enhancing visibility and enrollment opportunities for all 1,100 community colleges nationwide. Many of the training programs that Jeremy lists are available at NACCE-affiliated colleges, exposing SkillPointe.com users to high-quality, easily accessible skills-based training programs offered by local and regional community colleges they may not have previously considered.
This collaboration creates a beneficial synergy for three main user groups:
– Learners: access to cost-effective pathways to meaningful careers.
– Community colleges: increased exposure to motivated individuals seeking career training.
– Employers: a growing pool of well-trained employee talent to meet workforce demands.
Corbin added, “Jeremy’s addition to the SkillPointe team is a positive development for our college members, opening doors to a diverse pool of learners who may discover that a community college offers the exact program they need to launch a rewarding skills-based career.”
