Euro Manganese Announces Early Appointment of Chairman and Provides Financing Update

Euro Manganese Inc. has named Mr. Rick Anthon as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, who brings over 30 years of experience in the battery metals industry. The TSX Venture Exchange has conditionally approved the company’s C$11.2 million financing. In addition, a Share Purchase Plan for eligible shareholders is set to launch on April 28, 2025, to raise A$1.5 million. The Annual General and Special Meeting of shareholders will take place on May 15, 2025.

Mr. Anthon’s appointment as Chairman was scheduled to coincide with the completion of the financing, now expected around May 22, 2025, pending shareholder approval. The current Chairman, Mr. John Webster, will step down but remain on the Board and as Chair of the Audit Committee. The move comes as Euro Manganese progresses its Chvaletice Manganese Project development, emphasizing strong leadership to support its role in Europe’s battery materials supply chain.

Euro Manganese’s Interim CEO, Martina Blahova, expressed confidence in Mr. Anthon’s appointment, highlighting his industry expertise and leadership qualities. Mr. Anthon, in turn, expressed his eagerness to contribute to Euro Manganese’s growth and value creation. Notably, he has a background in leading corporate development activities and is involved in various lithium exploration and production ventures.

The Financing has received conditional approval from the TSX Venture Exchange, with final acceptance pending regulatory requirements. The completion of the Financing is subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Meeting on May 15, 2025. The company also confirmed the launch of a Share Purchase Plan later in April, with a revised timetable outlined for shareholders. Euro Manganese is focused on becoming a prominent producer of high-purity manganese for the electric vehicle industry, with projects in the Czech Republic and Québec.
