Porsche has a knack for honoring its rich history through limited special editions that few will ever see in person. The latest addition to their lineup is the Porsche 963 RSP, a unique road-oriented build of their top-level endurance race car. This one-of-a-kind vehicle is owned by Roger Searle Penske and was inspired by a similar project from 50 years ago.

The 963 RSP features Martini Silver paint, tan leather interior, and vintage design elements paying homage to the past. While not street-legal due to lack of homologation, it has road-ready features like license plate mounts and headlights. The car retains its hybrid twin-turbo V-8 power unit, delivering about 680 horsepower.

Porsche plans to showcase the 963 RSP at various events before Penske takes delivery in August. While the price remains undisclosed, it’s expected to exceed $3.5 million. Enthusiasts are eager to catch a glimpse of this exclusive creation, with hopes of experiencing it virtually through a racing video game.
