SEN ROGER MARSHALL: Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill will keep our border the most secure it’s been in history

House legislation proposes funding for an additional 10,000 ICE officers. Representative Nancy Mace from South Carolina discussed the Trump administration’s border security plans and the spending bill approved by the House to finance thousands of new ICE agents.

The border security situation is currently stable due to the efforts of President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Noem. Law enforcement requires adequate support to maintain security. The proposed bill, known as the “One Big, Beautiful Bill,” aims to provide the necessary resources for law enforcement to continue safeguarding the border effectively.

President Trump’s deployment of the U.S. military to protect the border has been crucial. During a recent visit to the southern border, Rep. Mace witnessed the dedication of law enforcement officers but acknowledged the need for more resources and support.

The bill includes over $46 billion for completing the border wall and fixing malfunctioning cameras, along with $1 billion allocated to CBP for upgrading its vehicle fleet. Additionally, $21 billion will be allotted to the Coast Guard for acquiring new equipment and personnel to combat smuggling activities.

ICE will receive funding to recruit and train 10,000 new agents to enhance their operations. The bill’s passage is essential to ensure the continued security of the border and provide law enforcement with the necessary tools to combat criminal activities effectively.
