The Marvel Cinematic Universe has provided a platform for television actors to transition to the big screen successfully. Stars like Chris Pratt, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, Emma Corrin, and Joseph Quinn have made this transition in the upcoming film “Fantastic Four: First Steps.” Now, Emily Hampshire from “Schitt’s Creek” will be joining the MCU.
Emily Hampshire, known for her role as Stevie Budd in “Schitt’s Creek,” has been cast in the Disney+ series “Vision Quest” as E.D.I.T.H., the Stark Industries artificial intelligence introduced in “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” This character was first seen in the MCU as sunglasses given to Peter Parker by Tony Stark. Hampshire joins Paul Bettany in the series.
The “Vision” series will feature Hampshire alongside Paul Bettany as Vision and James Spader as Ultron. Other cast members include T’Nia Miller, Ruaridh Mollica, and Todd Stashwick. Hampshire, with a career spanning since 1994, has appeared in various projects before gaining recognition for her role in “Schitt’s Creek.”
Known for her portrayal of Stevie Budd in “Schitt’s Creek,” Hampshire’s dry humor and no-nonsense attitude endeared her to fans and earned her several awards. For more Marvel, television, and entertainment news, visit Newsweek Entertainment.
