A kitten stuck in a storm drain in Livermore, California was rescued by an animal control officer and public works employees. Livermore Police Department Animal Services Officer Kathy Holmes sought assistance from the public works team to help retrieve the trapped kitten near Preston Avenue. The rescue operation involved carefully removing the storm drain cover, setting up a humane trap, and using a net to guide the kitten to safety. The city officials mentioned that they were unsure how long the kitten had been trapped, but it is now safe and under the care of the East County Animal Shelter. The kitten will be up for adoption soon.
