UAE Subsea Company Expands Saab ROV Fleet to Nine
June 4, 2025, by Nadja Skopljak

CCC (Underwater Engineering), based in the UAE, has enhanced its fleet by adding a new Saab remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to boost its capabilities in offshore inspection and construction.
As per Saab UK, the Saab Seaeye Panther XTP is a robust and compact ROV specifically designed for various offshore inspection and intervention operations, demonstrating a history of reliable performance in challenging conditions.
The delivery was finalized in January, replacing CCCUE’s Panther 905 from 2001, and comes after the incorporation of another Panther XTP into the company’s fleet in 2023.
With this recent acquisition, CCCUE now manages a fleet of nine Saab Seaeye ROVs.
Tavis Letherby, Survey/ROV Manager at CCCUE, commented, “We have been utilizing Saab Seaeye vehicles for over twenty years, and their dependability has been crucial to our activities. The Panther XTP’s established performance, along with its user-friendly design, makes it a perfect match for the intricate demands of our projects.”
