The family of the suspect involved in an attack on a rally for Israeli hostages has been taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian man, was apprehended and accused of committing a federal hate crime along with multiple state charges of attempted murder, assault, and possession of an incendiary device. The incident occurred when he allegedly threw several Molotov cocktails into a crowd during a march in Boulder, Colorado, on Sunday. Soliman is currently being held on a $10 million bond.

Following the attack, Soliman’s wife and five children had their visas canceled by the State Department, as confirmed by DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin. They are now awaiting processing for immediate deportation. The detention of Soliman’s family was commended by some members of the Trump administration on Tuesday.

“This terrorist will face full prosecution under the law. We are looking into whether his family had any knowledge of or involvement in this dreadful attack,” Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated. “My thoughts are with the victims of this attack and their families. Justice will prevail.”

The White House shared Soliman’s mugshot and a screenshot from a video showing him shirtless at the scene of the incident. They posted, “Six One-Way Tickets for Mohamed’s Wife and Five Kids. Final Boarding Call Coming Soon.”

On Monday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned of similar measures against others in a social media post. “In light of yesterday’s terrible attack, all terrorists, their family members, and those who sympathize with terrorists and are here on visas should understand that during the Trump Administration, we will locate you, revoke your visa, and deport you,” he wrote.
