Florida Man Raped 8-Year-Old Boy Who Later Tested Positive for HIV, Cops Say

A man in Florida was arrested by police on Friday for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy and potentially infecting him with HIV. The victim reported the incident in August 2024, but his current age was not disclosed. According to Pinellas County police, the assault took place in unincorporated St. Petersburg, where Bobby McAffee, 62, allegedly pinned the boy down and sexually assaulted him while forcing his hands above his head.

McAffee reportedly admitted to the sexual assault and revealed that he is HIV positive. Police mentioned that the victim has also tested positive for HIV recently. McAffee is facing charges of sexually assaulting a child under 12 years old, and an investigation is underway.
