S-Rack, Energy Aware to build 130 kW solar carport in Sydney

S-Rack Australia, a solar racking systems company, has teamed up with Energy Aware to retrofit a multi-floor carpark in Sydney, Australia, with a solar carport featuring 42 spaces. The project, completed at a DHL logistics hub in Matraville, New South Wales, uses 267 solar modules to generate 130 kW (DC) capacity for powering DHL’s operations. Despite challenges in the installation process, including coordination with the original building engineer and managing construction around an operational carpark, the project was successfully completed in two weeks. The solar carport is expected to produce 200,000 kWh of renewable energy in 2025.
