JACK POSOBIEC and LIZ COLLIN: 5 years after George Floyd, false narratives still remain

During a conversation with Jack Posobiec, Liz Collin from Alpha News discussed the ongoing repercussions of the George Floyd riots, the surge in criminal activity, and the persistent false narratives surrounding the cultural unrest of 2020. As the fifth anniversary approaches, Collin highlighted the notable changes alongside the unchanged aspects of the situation.

“In many aspects, there have been significant changes,” Collin stated. “However, observing the mainstream news this week serves as a reminder of how little has actually changed.”

Collin pointed out how the media continues to promote the misleading idea of “peaceful protests,” despite the extensive damage caused by leftist extremists during the Minnesota riots. “Despite the destruction of 1,500 businesses in the riots, we are still being fed this narrative of peaceful protests,” she remarked. “Furthermore, the surge in homicides and overall crime rates, not just in Minneapolis but statewide and nationwide, cannot be ignored.”

“I believe that until people acknowledge the truth, I am uncertain how the situation will improve,” Collin expressed.

Posobiec shared the frustration, stating, “Psychologically, people tend to cling to their narratives… Due to the extreme polarization at the time, the truth was often disregarded. Now, five years later, people are gradually becoming more receptive to it, but unfortunately, Derek Chauvin remains incarcerated.”

Collin addressed the rumors surrounding a potential pardon for Chauvin, dismissing them as politically motivated. “There were recent rumors that we chose not to report on, suggesting President Trump would grant Chauvin a federal pardon,” she explained. “However, the situation is complex, as he would still serve his sentence in Minnesota, with Governor Tim Walz and AG Keith Ellison emphasizing that he will complete his term in a state prison.”

“It is crucial to question information, think critically, and not blindly accept what is presented as truth,” Collin emphasized.
