Harbour Energy, a London-based oil and gas company, has successfully initiated oil production from a subsea tie-back in Norwegian waters. This development is part of a significant revitalization effort for an oil field in the Norwegian Sea. The project, known as the Maria Phase 2, involves the installation of a new template and four wells to enhance the existing infrastructure. The company announced the commencement of oil production from the first well on May 23, 2025, with the remaining three wells expected to follow suit in the coming months. Harbour Energy aims to continue hydrocarbon production from the field until 2040, leveraging partnerships with Petoro and Sval Energi. Additionally, the company has been actively expanding its oil and gas portfolio, with recent discoveries in both the Central North Sea and the Norwegian Sea.
