Serica Energy, a UK-based oil and gas company, has reported positive drilling results at its North Sea cluster, raising hopes for production to restart at the end of June. The company had to shut down production at its floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO) due to a storm, but repairs following the storm have now been completed. The annual maintenance program is expected to be finished by late June, allowing production to resume.

Before the shutdown, the Triton hub was producing around 25,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd). Production at the Triton cluster is managed through the FPSO Triton operated by Dana Petroleum, which draws hydrocarbons from eight oil fields.

Serica Energy also shared updates on its drilling activities, including successful drilling at the Belinda field and plans for the Kyle and Bruce fields. The company is waiting for regulatory and fiscal clarity for its Buchan Horst development project. Additionally, Serica recently completed the acquisition of Parkmead (E&P) Limited to enhance its strategic position in the Skerryvore prospect.

The company remains optimistic about resolving production issues and progressing with its drilling plans in the North Sea.
