Brisbane, Queensland, Australia–(ACN Newswire – May 21, 2025) – Graphene Manufacturing Group Limited (TSXV: GMG) is excited to share that the board of directors has given the green light for a $900k investment in the initial phase of constructing a Gen 2.0 Graphene Manufacturing Technology plant. The plant is estimated to cost a total of $2.3 million and will be located at the existing production facility in Richlands, Queensland. The aim is to have the Gen 2.0 Plant operational by the end of June 2026, initially producing one tonne per annum with plans for further enhancements in the near future.
The Gen 2.0 Plant, based on GMG’s plasma technology, is expected to significantly increase production efficiency compared to previous methods. The new technology promises lower production costs, improved product quality, and a boost in production capacity.
GMG’s Managing Director, Craig Nicol, expressed excitement about this advancement in graphene production, anticipating higher quality output at reduced costs and increased rates. Chairman and Director, Jack Perkowski, highlighted plans for potential expansion to North America where favorable conditions could lead to cost-effective production.
