F&B packaging fuels growing plastic waste crisis in Indian Himalayas: Report

A recent report revealed that the Indian Himalayas are mostly littered with nonrecyclable food and beverage packaging. The Zero Waste Himalaya and Integrated Mountain Initiative have been running an annual campaign named The Himalayan Cleanup since 2018. During the last week of May, volunteers from schools and civil society organizations come together to clean up various sites across the region.
