Atland management company has recently purchased a Campanile hotel in Germany through its SCPI Épargne Pierre Europe. The acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy overseen by Bruno Juin, who leads hotel investments.
The acquired hotel in Duisburg boasts 169 rooms and is situated between Düsseldorf and Essen. The property, leased to Louvre Hôtel Group for 15 years, is set to be completed in 2020.
Bruno Juin, Hospitality Investment Director at Atland, stated, “This transaction perfectly embodies our strategy of investing in recent assets, secured by long-term leases, while expanding our geographical footprint in Europe.”
The purchase follows the previous acquisition of the ibis Budget Bilbao City hotel operated by the Continuum hotel group, indicating Atland’s interest in the budget hotel sector.
Bruno Juin emphasized the importance of finding suitable hotel premises and operators with signed leases, focusing on countries like France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Ireland.
Atland, with 4.5 billion in assets under management, is undergoing a strategic transformation to enhance its capabilities and integrate specialists in investment and asset management, particularly in the hospitality sector.
Atland’s hotel strategy is supported by SCPIs Épargne Pierre and Épargne Pierre Europe, with stable payout rates and sustained net inflows allowing for portfolio diversification and new opportunities.
Épargne Pierre Europe aims for a distribution rate exceeding 6% and further international expansion, including entry into the German market with the recent hotel acquisition.
