IHG Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to grow its UK & Ireland collection by introducing the Hotel Indigo Torquay in collaboration with The Fragrance Group. This 153-room hotel will become the 26th Hotel Indigo in the area and is scheduled to open in the latter part of 2025. Positioned in Devon, in the Southwest of England, the hotel will be part of the Torbay resort, also known as The English Riviera, encompassing the towns of Paignton and Brixham. Its coastal setting makes it an appealing destination for both local and international tourists seeking a seaside getaway.
The Hotel Indigo Torquay aims to provide guests with unique experiences that reflect the character of the local community. It will boast various amenities, such as a chic rooftop bar, sea-view terraces, a ground-floor restaurant and bar, all offering panoramic views of Torbay, the beaches, harbor, and marina. Guests can also enjoy a well-equipped gym and an onsite spa providing a variety of treatments.
This partnership with The Fragrance Group underscores IHG Hotels & Resorts’ ongoing dedication to expanding its presence in the leisure market of the UK & Ireland. The Hotel Indigo Torquay will complement the 19 existing Hotel Indigos in this market, along with six properties currently in progress, including Hotel Indigo London – Clerkenwell and Hotel Indigo Leeds, set to open in the second quarter of 2025. IHG Hotels & Resorts manages 363 hotels in the UK and Ireland region, with an additional 33 in various stages of development.
