Link-Belt has introduced a new Payload Assist app for specific X4S Series excavators to provide instant load measurements, preventing trucks from being overloaded or underloaded and boosting efficiency on construction sites.
The app’s main features include:
1. Detailed reporting: The reporting function keeps track of load history and essential data like truck and machine ID, material type, location, date, time, and weight. Users can quickly access key performance indicators (KPIs) from their smartphones.
2. Collaboration between drivers and site owners: An integrated E-Ticket feature enables truck drivers and site owners to share weighing results for better communication and optimized loading and hauling.
3. Improved equipment performance: Payload Assist enhances equipment utilization, reduces unnecessary wear by preventing truck overloading, and eliminates unnecessary trips. Loading data can be saved and accessed remotely on RemoteCARE, Link-Belt’s telematics platform for machine monitoring.
4. Enhanced operator performance: Activity data helps operators, truck drivers, and site managers refine their skills and increase site efficiency.
The app is free and works in conjunction with the advanced technology features available on the Link-Belt 220 and 370 X4S models. Additional models will be supported in the near future. Some of the complementary technology features on these excavators include:
– Payload: Syncs with the Payload Assist app to monitor the volume of earth moved. Operators can see real-time bucket volume to prevent truck overloading and access loading history. The Payload feature can store up to six different truck capacities and ten bucket dimensions.
– Dynamic Stability Assist: Built-in motion stability control identifies when the machine is unstable due to environmental factors, providing operators with the necessary assistance through sensors that can be adjusted to the work environment.
– Height and Depth Alarm: Operators can set limits and receive audible warnings and on-screen notifications when entering hazardous areas.
– Digital Level: Offers attachment height, roll, and pitch angle assist for safe loading and slope cutting.
