Array Technologies, a US solar tracker manufacturer, has introduced its latest tracker, the DuraTrack Hail XP, aimed at regions with high wind speeds and hailstorms. This new tracker allows for modules to be tilted at a 77-degree angle to shield them from hailstones. Array Technologies emphasized the tracker’s durability, highlighting features like a reinforced bearing housing and upgraded components. The company plans to start delivering the new trackers by the first quarter of 2026.

Array Technologies’ launch of innovative products like the wireless tracker system SkyLink reflects the increasing interest in solar trackers and the resilience of solar PV projects. With extreme weather events becoming more frequent due to climate change, there is a growing need for effective weather management strategies in solar projects. This sentiment was echoed by Marcel Suri, CEO of solargis, emphasizing the importance of data quality and operational efficiency in managing solar assets amidst changing climate conditions.
