Australian state preps up to 20 GWh of battery and pumped hydro capacity

In the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), the government has approved grid connection for 10 renewable energy and energy storage facilities within the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). Additionally, AGL, a utility company, has purchased pumped hydro energy storage (PHES) projects located at the Glenbawn and Glennies Creek reservoirs.
