In 2028, the Olympics ceremonies will be held at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Exposition Park and SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The Opening Ceremony on July 14 will take place at both venues, while the Closing Ceremony on July 30 will be at the Coliseum, making it the first venue to host events for three Olympics. The LA Memorial Coliseum previously hosted Olympics events in 1932 and 1984. The Paralympic Opening Ceremony on Aug. 15 will be at SoFi Stadium, while the Closing Ceremony on Aug. 27 will be at the Coliseum. The 2028 Olympics plan includes various competition venues, with the International Olympic Committee recently approving the updated list presented by LA28. The program for 2028 will feature new mixed gender team events across different sports, including artistic gymnastics, athletics, golf, archery, coastal rowing beach sprint, and table tennis. Additionally, several sports will make their return to the Olympics, including flag football, lacrosse, baseball, softball, and cricket.
