MUMBAI, INDIA, May 8, 2025 – The Future of Video India 2025 conference, which took place at the Trident Hotel Bandra Kurla as part of the inaugural World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), gathered more than 120 industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to discuss the evolving trends shaping India’s media and entertainment sector. He emphasized the shift from a traditional pay TV model to a diversified content distribution strategy that leverages both broadcast and digital platforms for enhanced monetization and audience reach.

The event also featured insights from Vivek Couto, Managing & Executive Director of Media Partners Asia, who discussed the transformations in India’s premium video sector and the growth opportunities for key players. Kelly Day, Head of International & Vice President of Prime Video, highlighted Prime Video’s strategy of becoming a comprehensive entertainment hub tailored to India’s diverse content consumption landscape.

Monika Shergill, Vice President – Content at Netflix India, emphasized creative excellence and innovation in storytelling to connect with audiences across India and globally. Sushant Sreeram, Chief Marketing Officer at JioStar, discussed the platform’s focus on emotional engagement and personalized content to drive growth.

The conference also explored the future of premium video advertising in India, with experts emphasizing the potential of Connected TV (CTV) for advertisers. Speakers highlighted the need for a unified measurement system to ensure transparency in the CTV landscape.
