Motown music icon Smokey Robinson is facing a $50 million lawsuit from four women who have accused him of sexual assault and harassment. The women, who previously worked as housekeepers for the 85-year-old Robinson, filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles. The allegations include sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, and gender violence against Robinson. The lawsuit also details disturbing incidents, with one woman claiming she was sexually assaulted multiple times by Robinson. The women expressed fear of retaliation from Robinson as a reason for not reporting the assaults earlier. Along with the sexual assault claims, the women also accused Robinson of labor violations. Robinson, a renowned singer, songwriter, and producer, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and has had a successful career since the 1960s, known for hits like “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “I Second that Emotion,” and “Tears of a Clown.”
