The Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel, originally built by Baron Theophil Edvard von Hansen, has undergone renovations, marking Anantara’s debut in Austria. The historic palace, initially constructed for the 1873 World’s Fair, has been transformed into a luxurious urban resort in Vienna. The building, showcasing Viennese Neo-Renaissance architecture, has served various purposes throughout its history.

As part of the upgrades, the hotel’s 152 rooms and suites have been updated with modern amenities like marble bathrooms, Acqua di Parma products, and soundproofing for peaceful stays. The rooms feature high ceilings, large windows, and plenty of natural light to create a spacious feel.

The Presidential Suite, the largest in Vienna at 270 square meters, includes seven French balconies, a lounge, dining area, and wellness space. It can be expanded to four bedrooms, reaching 408 square meters upon request.

The hotel offers a range of dining options, from the Michelin-starred Edvard serving innovative cuisine to Theo’s Lounge & Bar offering local-inspired cocktails and events. Brasserie Sophie, a recent addition, offers a global take on Austrian dishes.

Guests can enjoy wellness treatments at the 800-square-meter Anantara Spa, which features a Finnish sauna, steam bath, and solarium. The hotel also includes a fitness center and jogging paths along the Danube Canal and Ringstrasse.

Cultural experiences include tours with a Hansen expert and visits to the atelier Lobmeyr, known for crafting decorative art for Hansen’s palaces. Cooking classes focusing on local cuisine are also available.

With Vienna’s largest ballroom and eight meeting spaces, the hotel is suitable for weddings, conferences, and private events. Located in the historic financial district, the hotel is a 25-minute drive from Vienna International Airport, with room rates starting at EUR 550 per night for a Deluxe Room based on double occupancy, including breakfast.
