Nigel Farage has described Reform UK’s performance in the recent local elections as outstanding and believes it signifies the end of the traditional two-party system in the UK. The right-wing party saw significant success, winning control of 10 local councils, two mayoral races, and securing its fifth Member of Parliament.

Farage stated that Reform UK has managed to attract voters from both the Labour and Conservative parties, positioning itself as the primary opposition to the current government. He even went as far as to say that these results could spell the beginning of the end for the Conservative Party.

The outcome of the elections was a setback for both Labour and the Conservatives. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has promised to rebuild the party as a viable alternative to Labour, expressing regret for the Conservative councillors who lost their seats. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Keir Starmer acknowledged that voters are yet to see the benefits of a Labour government and emphasized the need to provide the country with the changes they are seeking.
