Actor Joe Pantoliano, known for his role as Ralph Cifaretto on The Sopranos, has shared that he is contemplating a move to Portugal following President Donald Trump’s election victory. Pantoliano expressed feeling uneasy about the current situation in the U.S. and mentioned a desire to escape the turmoil. During an interview with Page Six, he stated, “I’m so uncomfortable with the nature of what’s happening in our country, and I just want to run for the hills.”
Pantoliano and his wife, Nancy, recently visited Portugal and explored the possibility of obtaining visas to reside there either part-time or full-time. The actor shared details of their trip in an Instagram video, mentioning their interest in retiring in the country.
In addition to Pantoliano, other Hollywood figures like Eva Longoria and Rosie O’Donnell have disclosed their decisions to leave the U.S. in the aftermath of Trump’s election win. O’Donnell relocated to Ireland with her child, citing it as the best choice for their well-being, while Longoria is now dividing her time between Mexico and Spain, expressing concerns about the future under Trump’s presidency.
