Blue Diamond Attachments Debuts Heavy Duty Drum Mulcher for Skid Steers, CTLs

Blue Diamond Attachments has introduced its latest Heavy Duty Drum Mulcher, specifically designed to be compatible with low and high-flow skid steers and compact track loaders that have a hydraulic flow range of 22 to 46 gallons per minute. The compact 60-inch drum mulcher is intended for land clearing and maintenance tasks such as mulching small trees, large branches, and grinding stumps. There are eight different configuration options available, with key features including a 60-inch drum with a choice of carbide or reversible chipping teeth, a standard hydraulic gate for better material flow control, multiple hydraulic connection options, compatibility with different coupler sizes, high-strength steel construction, and two chain curtains for protection from debris.

The mulcher’s rotor consists of replaceable shafts and fixed teeth positioned helically with “P-CUT” bite limiters for efficient cutting of material to a consistent size. An adjustable intake plate controls the processed material’s size. Additional features include polychain carbon fiber drive belts, a side extension device between the motor and pulleys with an ESB system, and a hydraulic piston motor with variable displacement up to 85cc powered by a built-in anti-cavitation valve. The mulcher weighs 2,105 pounds, includes an adjustable push bar and depth skid shoes with two positions for precise operation, and features wear-resistant steel replaceable shoes.
