Dallas, TX (RestaurantNews.com) – The LOOMIS Agency has launched a new dynamic TV commercial for the Texas Dairy Queen Operators’ Council (TDQOC), featuring the limited-time Buffalo and Honey BBQ Sauced & Tossed Chicken Strips. The ad showcases a humorous character called “Saucesquatch” and utilizes cutting-edge virtual production techniques to highlight the product’s flavorful appeal.
Designed to engage a younger audience while maintaining the iconic DQ brand’s freshness, the campaign emphasizes the saucy and irresistible nature of the product. The ad stars Saucesquatch, a character with unique table manners and a whimsical personality.
“We aimed to create more than just a product launch – we wanted to deliver an explosion of flavor with a matching personality,” stated Mike Sullivan, CEO of LOOMIS. “DQ fans enjoy fun, and this commercial provides that in a memorable way.”
To bring this concept to fruition, LOOMIS enlisted a skilled creative and production team, including individuals such as Tina Tackett, Jim Green, and Cecily Worthy. The commercial was shot at XR214 Studios in Dallas, utilizing advanced technology to create an immersive setting.
Directed by Brian Bain and Jake Springfield of Tempt Films, the ad showcases the contrast between the joy of eating the chicken strips and Saucesquatch’s refined behavior. It humorously depicts fans going to great lengths to savor the bold flavors offered by Texas Dairy Queen.
“This campaign allowed us to explore creative and technical boundaries, combining innovation and humor to build brand loyalty,” explained Tina Tackett, Executive Creative Director at LOOMIS.
The campaign will be broadcast in Texas across TV, radio, and social media platforms for four weeks from April 28. The Buffalo and Honey BBQ Sauced & Tossed Chicken Strips are currently available at select Texas Dairy Queen locations for a limited time.
With a long history of representing the Texas Dairy Queen Operators’ Council, LOOMIS continues to inject fresh enthusiasm into the beloved brand. For more information about Dairy Queen restaurants in Texas, visit DQTexas.com.
