You have probably noticed a lot of media polls regarding the public’s view of Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office. Many of these polls are conducted by the same individuals who have consistently produced negative stories about the president and his Cabinet members.
The current administration has made changes such as not setting 2 p.m. deadlines with Cabinet members, having members who do not take extended leaves, and a Defense Secretary who remains visible. However, despite these changes, they are not expected to receive more positive coverage from the mainstream media.
According to a Newsbusters analysis, one member of Trump’s Cabinet, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, received 100 percent negative media coverage. Hegseth has been instrumental in reshaping the culture and priorities at the Pentagon, which has not been well received by the media aligned with the Democratic party.
There is a growing disparity between public opinion and the narrative being pushed by the media. The media seems unable to accept that Americans might be satisfied with Trump’s performance in his first 100 days in office.
Despite widespread negative coverage from the media during Trump’s first 100 days, his supporters remain enthusiastic and hopeful. The media’s lack of self-reflection and failure to acknowledge public sentiment continues to erode trust in their credibility.
