Investigation Finds Misconduct Allegations against Dr. Michael Brown Credible

An investigation conducted by Firefly has confirmed allegations of sexual misconduct against Dr. Michael Brown, the founder of the Fire School of Ministry. The independent investigation report, released by Firefly earlier this month, stated that they were tasked with looking into claims that Dr. Brown had engaged in inappropriate relationships with former Fire School of Ministry member Sarah Monk and a married woman from his church who has since passed away. The investigation found that Dr. Brown’s actions towards these women were inappropriate and unacceptable for someone in his leadership position within the ministry, violating ethical standards and eroding trust within the church community. The report’s publication comes after the Line of Fire Board enlisted the services of the law firm Mitchell, Stein, Carey, and Chapman to investigate the allegations against Dr. Brown as a third party. The ministry has acknowledged receipt of the report and stated that the Board and Elder team will review it and release a summary soon. Dr. Brown, who has not yet publicly responded to the findings, previously admitted to exercising poor judgment but denied engaging in sexual misconduct with Sarah Monk over 23 years ago.
