RFK Racing has released a statement in response to Ryan Preece’s disqualification from the recent NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. Preece, who initially finished second in the Jack Link’s 500, was disqualified by NASCAR due to unapproved shims in the rear spoiler. RFK Racing has confirmed that they will not contest the disqualification, acknowledging NASCAR’s decision. The team explained that the infraction was a result of an unintentional adjustment made during pre-race inspection to correct a spoiler angle issue, which did not provide a competitive advantage but did not comply with approved methods. They stated their commitment to integrity and adherence to NASCAR’s standards.
