RFK Racing has released a statement in response to Ryan Preece’s disqualification from the recent NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. Preece, who initially finished second in the Jack Link’s 500, was disqualified by NASCAR due to unapproved shims in the rear spoiler. RFK Racing has confirmed that they will not contest the disqualification, acknowledging NASCAR’s decision. The team explained that the infraction was a result of an unintentional adjustment made during pre-race inspection to correct a spoiler angle issue, which did not provide a competitive advantage but did not comply with approved methods. They stated their commitment to integrity and adherence to NASCAR’s standards.

Before the disqualification, Preece expressed pride in his team’s performance during the race, emphasizing the hard work and opportunities provided by RFK Racing and their partners. Additionally, Team Penske driver Joey Logano, who finished fifth in the race, was also disqualified and the team chose not to appeal the decision.

The race results saw Austin Cindric take the win, followed by Kyle Larson and William Byron, among others. NASCAR Cup Series at Talladega: Jack Link’s 500 race results were noted, including the disqualifications of Preece and Logano.
