In Egypt’s Soma Bay, Minor Hotels has inked a deal with Soma Bay Hotel Company SAE to establish a luxury Anantara-branded hotel. This collaboration marks the first project between the two companies. The resort is to be situated in Soma Bay, a sought-after Red Sea coastal destination, with plans for additional projects to be revealed later this year. Soma Bay, positioned 45 kilometers south of Hurghada International Airport, offers a wide array of leisure activities such as windsurfing, diving, and sailing. Notably, the area boasts one of the largest naturally occurring spas in the region, providing guests with thalassotherapy treatments. The partnership with Minor Hotels underscores Soma Bay Hotel Company’s dedication to making lasting investments that foster progress and value in the region. This move into Egypt is a significant expansion for Minor Hotels, which already manages more than 560 hotels in 58 countries across various continents, including Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas. Further details about the forthcoming Anantara resort and associated residential complex in Soma Bay will be disclosed in the upcoming months.
