Vienna welcomes a second Radisson Blu hotel

Renowned Viennese design hotel Radisson Blu Das Triest Hotel, Vienna has reopened following an extensive renovation, marking the rejuvenation of one of the city’s most famous design hotels. Situated in the heart of Vienna, this new establishment expands Radisson’s presence in the Austrian capital.

Reimagined Historical Venue
Originally established in 1995 as Vienna’s pioneer design hotel, Radisson Blu Das Triest Hotel has been well-known for its unique architecture and rich past. The building, which once functioned as a post station between Vienna and Trieste in the Austrian Empire era, has now been revamped while preserving its historical essence.
Elisabeth Boyer, General Manager of Radisson Blu Das Triest Hotel, remarks, “The renovation has been a heartfelt endeavor, aiming to maintain the hotel’s historic allure while introducing contemporary comforts.”

Located on the renowned Wiedner Hauptstraße, in Vienna’s lively 4th district, the hotel offers guests easy access to Karlsplatz, the Inner City, and landmarks like the Stephansdom. This prime location serves as an excellent starting point for exploring Vienna’s diverse cultural and historical attractions.

A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity
The hotel’s 120 rooms and suites blend the original minimalist design with modern touches. Some rooms retain the sleek lines defining its early character, while others have been updated to reflect the contemporary style of the Radisson Blu brand.
One of the reopening’s highlights is Bistrot Bertarelli 1894, a restaurant that combines classic Italian cuisine with modern interpretations. Guests can enjoy dining on the terrace at Rilkeplatz, taking in the view while relishing regional dishes crafted from local ingredients.

The iconic Silver Bar, a favored meeting spot for both celebrities and guests, has been restored to its former elegance. During warmer months, the bar extends into the inner courtyard.
Radisson Blu Das Triest Hotel offers an array of amenities, including a fitness center, sauna, and a spacious terrace. Business travelers can take advantage of five conference rooms accommodating up to 284 attendees, making it an ideal venue for meetings and events.
