Army suspends commander after Trump, Vance, Hegseth vanish from command board

Fort McCoy’s commander was relieved of duty for not displaying photos of top officials on a command wall. Col. Sheyla Baez Ramirez was suspended as the garrison commander in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The U.S. Army Reserve Command stated that the suspension is not due to any misconduct. The Defense Department launched an investigation into the missing images of President Trump, Vice President Vance, and Defense Secretary Hegseth on the chain-of-command wall. Ramirez’s suspension followed leadership changes in the military, including the firing of Col. Susan Meyers from Pituffik Space Force Base. Meyers was relieved of command after expressing concerns about political discussions during Vice President Vance’s visit. Defense Secretary Hegseth also dismissed four former aides amid internal conflicts and a leak investigation.
