Hope’s Door to Recognize Mission and Community Honorees at Spring Gala

Hawthorne, NY, April 20, 2025 – Hope’s Door, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to putting an end to domestic violence and empowering victims to attain safety, independence, and recovery from the trauma of abuse. The upcoming Gala of Hope will showcase the organization’s efforts and highlight this year’s outstanding Community and Mission Honorees, who have significantly contributed to raising awareness about Hope’s Door’s mission.

The Community Honoree, a local church named St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, has been a strong supporter of Hope’s Door for ten years. Their Treasures Thrift Shop’s success has allowed them to provide over $60,000 in grants in 2024 to various life-changing organizations, including Hope’s Door. Since its establishment in 1842, the church and its members have played a crucial role in Armonk, NY, embodying the Christian principle of loving one’s neighbors.

This year’s Mission Honorees, Michelle Horton and Nikki Addimando, are being recognized for their significant contributions to the fight against domestic violence. Michelle, the author of Dear Sister, and her sister Nikki, a survivor of domestic violence, have shown unwavering dedication and courage in making a positive impact on numerous lives, guiding others towards healing and resilience.

The commitment of these honorees and supporters highlights the importance of Hope’s Door’s work in providing avenues for healing and support. Over the past forty years, the organization has assisted more than 16,000 individuals in finding safety and support, meeting survivors at their point of need.
