College football player, Todric McGee, aged 21, has passed away in what authorities suspect was an accidental shooting incident. The Missouri State athlete had been hospitalized after sustaining injuries at his residence. The Springfield Police Department responded to a wellness check call and found McGee with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Despite being taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries the following day. McGee had been a safety player for the Missouri State Bears from 2021 to 2024 and had received accolades for his performance.
