NBA player DeMar DeRozan found himself in a heated confrontation at a sushi restaurant on Friday night, as captured in a video that has surfaced. In the footage, DeRozan is visibly upset as he engages with another man who is seen lying on the ground with his legs up. The altercation appears intense, with the Sacramento Kings forward attempting to approach the man but being restrained by a person in a suit.

As the man stands up, he requests his phone back, which seems to further provoke DeRozan, leading him to make a move towards him. A woman in gray attire intervenes, urging the athlete to let go of the man, stating he is not worth the trouble.

The video concludes with DeRozan retreating to another part of the restaurant while the man on the ground demands the return of his phone. While the clip ends at that point, authorities confirm they were called to an incident involving DeRozan at Yume Sushi in Calabasas around 10:30 on Friday night.

According to an eyewitness, the altercation began when the man in shorts shone a bright light from his phone in DeRozan’s face, prompting the basketball player to knock the device out of his hand. The witness states that the man in shorts was later taken away in an ambulance due to injuries sustained during the scuffle, which resulted in glassware and utensils being scattered.

The Kings have been contacted for comment but have not responded yet.
