Haley Joel Osment, the Oscar-nominated actor, faces charges of public intoxication and cocaine possession following his recent arrest at a ski resort in Northern California. The Mono County District Attorney’s office announced the misdemeanor charges against the 37-year-old actor, known for his roles in films like “The Sixth Sense” and “A.I.” Osment was taken into custody on April 8 at the Mammoth Mountain ski resort on suspicion of public intoxication, as revealed by District Attorney David Anderson. The actor is scheduled for arraignment on July 7. Despite attempts to reach his representative for comment on the charges, there has been no response. Osment gained fame for his performances in “The Sixth Sense” and “A.I.,” earning an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor. He has continued to work in the entertainment industry, notably as a voice actor and in TV shows like “The Kominsky Method” and “What We Do in the Shadows.” Additionally, Osment was one of the victims of the Eaton Fire in January, which destroyed his home in the Altadena area near Los Angeles. This is not the first legal issue Osment has faced, as he was previously charged with DUI and marijuana possession in 2006 after a car accident in Los Angeles resulted in a broken rib.
